Personal Life

  • I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and spent half of my childhood there and the other half inMiami, FL. My father, Vidal Santos Salavarria, Jr., was born in the Canary Islands and my mother, Arnalda Capiato, was born in Ancona, Italy. I grew up with an older brother, Vidal Santos III, although many years later a wonderful half-sister, Ainhoa Santos, joined ourrelatively small, multicultural family. I became a Christian at the age of 21 (1997) at the verybeginning of my last semester as an undergraduate at the University of Miami. I currently livenear Boston, MA with my wife of 24 years, Betsy, and we have four amazing children, Isabella(21), Lilianna (19), Cecilia (18), and Alexander (14).
